All roads lead to Kamuzu Stadium this Sunday as FCB Nyasa Big Bullets take on city rivals Mighty Wanderers in the TNM Super League’s biggest showdown of the season — with tickets already on sale across Blantyre.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. The People’s Team sit top of the log and will enter the derby aiming to stretch their lead in the title chase, while Wanderers look to close the gap as the battle for Blantyre pride and championship momentum intensifies.
The Title Race Heats Up
Wanderers, who have a game in hand, cut the gap at the summit to four points after defeating Blue Eagles 3-1 at Nankhaka on Wednesday.
Peter Mponda’s men remain top on 49 points from 20 games, with Bob Mpinganjira’s side second on 45 from 19 — setting the stage for another fiery Kamuzu Stadium showdown.
It’s more than just a football match — it’s Blantyre pride, title ambition, and history on the line.
Advance Tickets Available Now
Speaking to the media earlier this week, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Commercial Manager, Kevin Moyo, confirmed that advance ticket sales began on Tuesday and will continue until Saturday evening at selected selling points across the Commercial City.
“In terms of ticketing, we need to be very attentive,” Moyo said. “Advance tickets are cheaper than matchday tickets, so we’re encouraging everyone to buy early and avoid the rush. Let’s fill the stadium in an orderly way and make it a great day for all.”
Fans can secure their tickets from convenient locations across Blantyre, including Limbe, Ndirande, and the City Centre. Tickets are available at Kamuzu Stadium, Jack Shoppers, Chigo’s at Kameza Puma, Limbe Total, Total Speedies, and Ndirande Energem, among others.
Those who choose to buy on matchday can still do so, but advance tickets remain the smarter, more affordable option.
Ticket Prices
For those buying early, Open Stand tickets are pegged at K6,000, MBC Stand at K10,000, Covered Stands at K15,000, and VIP at K25,000.
On matchday, prices will rise to K10,000, K15,000, K20,000, and K30,000, respectively.
Tight Security and Family-Friendly Atmosphere
Moyo also reassured fans that security measures have been fully enhanced to ensure a smooth and safe matchday experience for everyone.
“Security will be very tight,” he explained. “We’ve deployed a strong team of police officers, stewards, and private security personnel who will ensure everyone enjoys the game in a safe, family-friendly environment. We want the day to be about football, unity and colour — a true Blantyre celebration.”
He also appealed to fans to cooperate with security and maintain discipline throughout the day.
“No glass bottles will be allowed inside the stadium,” he emphasized. “Let’s look out for one another and make this a peaceful, family-oriented event. Bring your families, bring your friends — let’s celebrate football.”
With the title race intensifying, Sunday’s derby promises to be another classic.
A victory for Bullets would reopen a seven-point lead at the top, while Wanderers will be hoping to cut the gap to just one point — making this one of the most pivotal derbies in recent memory.
Get your tickets early, Maule. Let’s fill Kamuzu Stadium, paint it red and white, and push The People’s Team toward another massive three points in the title race.
