Bullets confirm Innocent Nyasulu signing

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets is delighted to confirm the permanent signing of goalkeeper Innocent Nyasulu from Waka Waka Mighty Tigers.

The 26-year-old has joined The People’s Team after agreeing to a three-year contract.

Nyasulu made 31 appearances for Tigers in all competitions in the 2023 season. He helped the Kau Kau Boys fight TNM Super League relegation.

Our latest acquisition, who joined Tigers from Rumphi United in the middle of the 2022 campaign, is among the five nominees for the TNM Super League Player of the Season award.

In the just-ended campaign, the goalkeeper kept 13 clean sheets, saving five penalties and winning the Man of the Match award seven times.

He made his Malawi debut at the 2023 COSAFA Senior Challenge Cup where he came in as a substitute in the final against Lesotho.

Said Nyasulu after putting pen to paper: “I’m so excited to be here because I didn’t expect that I’d play for FCB Nyasa Big Bullets. It’s a step forward in my career after spending one-and-a-half seasons at Tigers where I performed well. I thank God for granting me this opportunity to play for a team that has achieved a lot and I am looking forward to winning more with the club.

“I want to contribute to the success of this team. It’s already a winning side that takes part in the CAF Champions League and [this will] take my career to another level. It’s a new challenge to my career because this team is big and it offers an opportunity of a lifetime and as a stepping stone to another chapter of one’s career.”

Nyasulu is our third signing ahead of the 2024 season after Kalisto Pasuwa brought Lloyd Aaron from Civil Service United on a three-year contract and re-signed Babatunde Adepoju on a seasonal long loan from Venda Football Academy.

Bullets have also successfully extended contracts for Ephraim Kondowe, Precious Phiri, Anthony Mfune, and Clyde Senaji.
