Our partnership with Hubertus Clausius for the Player of the Month award has been extended for three years.
In the renewed partnership, announced in Blantyre on Tuesday, the insurance broker has adjusted the prize money to K300,000 from last season’s K200,000.
Hubertus Clausius Malawi has sponsored the FCB Nyasa Big Bullets monthly best performer award since 2022.
The company’s Finance Director, Malinda Chinyama, said Hubertus decided to extend the partnership with the champions of Malawi to continue motivating Bullets players, who won a historic quadruple in the 2023 campaign.
“We desire to continue motivating the players to perform much better for the continued success of the Bullets brand as we also continue promoting our [Hubertus] brand and grow our base,” he said.
Bullets captain Precious Sambani said: “As players, we are very grateful for this massive commitment to this POM award. We are motivated and will push for more success because we have more reasons to fight for the badge. We are promising something extraordinary this season because K300,000 per month is a lot of money.”
Club Chief Executive Officer, Suzgo Nyirenda, commented: “This is also an encouragement towards the commercialization drive we embarked on some years back. Our success last year was highly motivated by these awards that motivate our players. As Bullets, we encourage our supporters to continue supporting Hubertus.”
