Bullets set for friendly clash with Moyale

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will take on Moyale Barracks in a friendly fixture this Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium.

This encounter has been organized to keep both TNM Super League teams sharp and active during the ongoing FIFA international break, which runs from June 2 to June 10.

During this period, the Malawi national team is in action at the 2025 COSAFA Cup Senior Challenge, taking place from today through June 15 in Bloemfontein, South Africa.

Bullets have contributed eight players to Kalisto Pasuwa’s squad for the tournament—including seven first-team members and one from the reserves—who departed for South Africa on Wednesday morning.

The Flames’ opening Group B match is set for 15:00 on Thursday against Lesotho.

Our weekend meeting with Moyale will not only help us maintain match fitness, but it is also a prime opportunity for Peter Mponda’s fringe players to gain valuable minutes while the league is on pause.

For the People’s Team, it is a chance to regroup following last weekend’s 1-0 league loss to arch-rivals Mighty Wanderers in the Blantyre derby. On the other hand, Moyale will aim to seize the opportunity to test themselves against the current league leaders in the new season.

Bullets top the table with 18 points from seven games, while The Lions of Kaning’ina sit sixth with 12 points from six matches, following their 1-1 draw away to Mighty Tigers on Tuesday.

Tickets for the game will be sold on matchday at Kamuzu Stadium at the following prices: Open Stand – K2,000; MBC Stand – K3,000; Covered Section – K4,000; and VIP Area – K5,000.
