FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will kick off the 2025 TNM Super League season with an away match against reigning champions Silver Strikers at Bingu National Stadium on April 5.
The Super League of Malawi issued a statement on Monday officially announcing the opening fixture of the new season.
“The Super League of Malawi is pleased to announce the kick-off date of the 2025 season, which will commence as usual with the preliminary competition of the Charity Shield and simultaneous kick-off of the TNM Super League with Silver Strikers vs FCB Nyasa Big Bullets game,” reads the statement.
This marks the second time in three seasons that Bullets will begin their league journey with an away encounter against the Central Bankers.
Additionally, it will be the third consecutive season in which The Peopleās Team starts their Super League campaign on the road.
In the 2023 season opener, Bullets played to a 1-1 draw with the Area 47 side at the same venue, a season that concluded with Bullets securing a historic quadruple.
Last year, we began our campaign away from home, settling for another 1-1 draw against Dedza Dynamos at Dedza Stadium.
In 2025, Peter Mpondaās squad is set for another trip to the Central Region to launch our campaign, aiming to reclaim the championship, which our new head coach previously won with Silver Strikers last season.
