Share

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets will begin the defence of the FDH Bank Cup with a home fixture against Ndirande Stars.

This follows a draw conducted by the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) on Thursday morning at Mpira Village in Chiwembe.

Bullets, Blue Eagles, Kamuzu Barracks, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, Silver Strikers, MAFCO, Moyale and Civil Services, who finished in the top 8 at the end of the 2022 TNM Super League campaign, were seeded to avoid facing each other.

During the draw, Kalisto Pasuwa’s side was drawn as a home team against the Premier Division side.

The winner between Bullets and Ndirande will face the winner between Balaka FC and Chilumba Barracks.

According to FAM, the round-of-32 will be played from 17 June.

Maule won the cup in its second edition following a 3-1 victory over our juniors last October.

Despite hammering Mponda’s FC 5-0 in the preliminary round, Bullets Reserves, starting this campaign, are not eligible to proceed to the national phase by being a reserves side of a Super League club.

The FDH Bank Cup will be the second silverware The People’s Team will be looking to defend this season as we also race for the TNM Super League championship for a fifth season in a row.
