Share

Nyasa Big Bullets senior team will travel to Lilongwe to play Mighty Mukuru Wanderers in the 2022 FDH Bank Cup semi-final on September 24 at Bingu National Stadium.

Confirming the dates and venues for the semifinals, the Football Association of Malawi has also revealed that Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves will be at home hosting Extreme FC in the first match of the Last 4 on 18 September.

The much-anticipated Blantyre derby will be played a week after the Bullets’ CAF Champions League outing away to Simba SC in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.

This will be the second semi-final tie between the two rivals to be played at the BNS, with the first match being the Airtel Top 8 in which Bullets won 2-1.

The winner of the clash will play the winner between Bullets Reserves and Extreme in the final set for Kamuzu Stadium on 8th October 2022.

Bullets had to overcome a stubborn Chitipa United 2-0 at Rumphi Stadium while Wanderers were 4-1 winners over Kamuzu Barracks.

It will be the first time Bullets Reserves and Extreme FC play in this stage of a national competition. The furthest Enos Chatama’s side had gone was the quarter-finals of the FISD Challenge Cup as well as the Carlsberg Cup in 2018.

To reach the semis in this campaign, Bullets Reserves came from behind to beat Blue Eagles FC 2-1 at Kamuzu Stadium whilst Extreme FC comfortably eliminated Changalume Barracks 2-0 at Balaka Stadium.
