Inside Bullets this week

Share

Before the international break, we return to Kamuzu Stadium for another important fixture in the TNM Super League.

The reserves will also seek to maintain their perfect run in the ThumbsUp Southern Region Football League.

Our youth team will continue fine-tuning for the FCB Under-19 League while the women’s team rests during their off-season.

Here is everything you can expect at FCB Nyasa Big Bullets this coming weekend.

First Team

Kalisto Pasuwa’s men will host league leaders, Silver Strikers, on Sunday at Kamuzu Stadium.

Bullets will be searching for a win against Peter Mponda’s side, which has an eight-point gap over the 2023 quadruple winners at the top of the table.

Sitting fourth in the standings, The People’s Team has had a mixed start to the season, recording five draws and three wins in eight games.

Our latest draw away to Moyale Barracks on Monday, saw us failing to dislodge Mzuzu City Hammers from second position.

Tickets for the match are already on the market in various selling outlets within Blantyre.

Reserves

Our team B is currently enjoying good form. They beat Lipulumundu Stars away in Mangochi last Sunday to register a third straight win in the second-tier league, taking their tally to 14 points in six games.

Now, their next assignment is Soccer Rangers at Lunzu Ground. A win in the northern side of the city will see them cementing their position at the top of the table.

Under 19s

They are still preparing for the forthcoming FCB Under-19 League slated for next month. But before that, our developmental side will have to undergo a vetting process by the National Youth Football Committee.

Women

There is no activity for Maggie Chombo’s ladies as they await the start of the FAM Women’s Football Southern Region League whose dates are yet to be announced.
