Inside Bullets this week

Share

Two of our teams are in action this week, with the first side returning to Lilongwe for another TNM Super League fixture.

After resting last week, the reserves will be at home in the ThumbsUp Southern Region Football League.

Let’s look at our fixtures this week.

First Team

A week after playing out to a 1-all draw against Creck Sporting Club at Civo Stadium, the defending champions return to the Capital City to face the second-placed Kamuzu Barracks on Saturday.

This will be our second trip to Lilongwe in the 2024 TNM Super League campaign and it’s an important game in which Kalisto Pasuwa’s men must go for nothing but a win to keep their title defence alive.

Winning three games, registering six draws and losing once this term is not the start that The People’s Team wanted.

After ten games, we find ourselves in an unfamiliar position, sitting eleven points behind leaders Silver Strikers.

The 2023 quadruple winners are fifth with 15 points while Saturday’s opponents are second with 19 points from ten games.

Reserves

Our team B will host Nyambadwe United at Kamuzu Stadium on Thursday afternoon. Enos Chatama’s men will also strive to bounce back from their 1-all draw against MMF Marine on 9 June. The reserves have 15 points from nine games.

Women

Maggie Chombo’s ladies are on a break after completing the FAM Women’s Championship in May and await to learn the dates they will start the FAM Women’s Football Southern Region League.

Under 19s

Our developmental side, champions of the African Herbal Mixture Cup for two consecutive seasons, continues preparing for the FCB Under-19 Youth Championship slated to kick off next month.
