FCB Nyasa Big Bullets forward Hassan Kajoke has won the FDH Bank Cup Golden Boot after scoring four goals in the 2023 edition.

The 2020/21 TNM Super League Golden Boot Award winner scored in three of the five games that Bullets played.

Speaking to club media, the 23-year-old attacker was delighted to have kept the award at The People’s Team, after it was last won by former Bullets striker Babatunde Adepoju last season.

“I am happy that I won the award. I am very grateful to my teammates for their support. I’m proud to keep this award here [at Bullets] after it was won by Baba last season.

“The feeling of winning both the cup and the Golden Boot award is extraordinary. It’s a double celebration, but we still have other competitions to play for, so the focus is now on those remaining games,” he stated.

Kajoke scored a brace when Bullets hammered Ndirande Stars 4-0 in the round of 32 before registering his name on the scoresheet during the 3-0 win over Balaka FC in the next phase.

The forward was also on target when Bullets thumped Dedza Dynamos 5-1 at Kamuzu Stadium in the semifinals.

He has beaten Mafco’s Zikani Sichinga, who scored three goals but was unavailable for selection due to injury.

This is Kajoke’s second Golden Boot award after he won the TNM Super League Golden Boot in the 2020/21 season when he scored 15 goals.
