Pasuwa provides Kajoke, Chimbamba injury updates

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets head coach Kalisto Pasuwa has provided injury updates on striker Hassan Kajoke and goalkeeper Richard Chimbamba.

The duo was subbed off during our 3-1 win over Moyale Barracks in the TNM Super League at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday.

Kajoke was withdrawn mid into the second half after he was fouled by the opposition defender, Ntopijo Njewa, whilst Chimbamba was stretchered off after he was elbowed by Raphael Phiri in aerial combat with less than 12 minutes left to play.

Pasuwa is hoping to see the two players back in training in readiness for the next TNM Super League fixture against Bangwe All Stars on Friday.

“Hassan Kajoke whom we thought had developed a crack on Saturday is okay, but he is just having a swollen leg. The medical team advised us to have him rest for 72 hours and we’re exactly as advised. We are optimistic that he will resume training on Tuesday, but he is still under medical observation,” he told Bullets Media on Monday.

On Chimbamba, Pasuwa explained: “He had a swollen eye, but he will resume training on Tuesday. He is looking good, and we hope he will be around for us as we prepare for Bangwe”.

Pasuwa will also be delighted to welcome back defender Precious Sambani who has been out of action for more than three months due to an injury he sustained on international duty with the Malawi National Team.

Sambani, who missed Bullets’ pre-season training sessions, resumed light training some weeks ago, and he featured when the first team beat Bullets Youth 5-1 in a training match on Saturday. The left-back played 70 minutes of the match.

Pasuwa will be looking to have all his Bullets fit and available as The People’s Team will be looking to defend the TNM Super League and participate in other competitions this season. Bullets are currently top of the Super League summit with 10 points from four games.
