The Super League of Malawi has confirmed the midweek TNM Super League match between Sable Farming and Nyasa Big Bullets has been moved to Kamuzu Stadium.
Initially, the second-round meeting between the two sides was supposed to be played at the Mpira Stadium in Chiwembe, the hosts’ home venue.
A new announcement by Sulom, made on Monday morning, indicates the Chiradzulo-based side requested to have their game shifted to Kamuzu Stadium where Bullets play their home matches.
“Be notified that the game involving Sable Farming and Nyasa Big Bullets will now be played at Kamuzu Stadium and not Mpira Stadium as earlier communicated. This has been done by Sable who requested to have the venue changed,” reads Sulom’s communication.
The hosts also confirmed this through their official Facebook page.
“Take note that our TNM Super League game against Nyasa Big Bullets on Wednesday 19th October 2022 will be played at Kamuzu Stadium.”
The first-round encounter between the two teams ended 1-0 in favour of the defending champions through Babatunde Adepoju’s strike from the spot.
Top of the table, Bullets are eight points clear of the second-placed Blue Eagles with 58 points from 24 games whilst Sable are third from bottom with 21 points from the same number of games.
The People’s Team will now be looking to bounce back from three back-to-back draws as they aim to close in on the TNM Super League title and concentrate on the forthcoming FDH Bank Cup final against the junior side, Nyasa Big Bullets Reserves, and the Airtel Top 8 Cup which kicks off later this month.
