Vote for April’s Player of the Month

Voting is now open for the Hubertus Clausius Player of the Month for April.

Ephraim Kondowe, Collins Mujuru and Patrick Mwaungulu have been announced as the first nominees for 2024.

In the month the new season kicked off, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets collected eight points from four matches, scoring six goals while conceding two to put us in fourth position in the early standings of this TNM Super League campaign.

There were a lot of outstanding performers behind the April run, but it was the trio of Kondowe, Mwaungulu and the new-signing Mujuru, who got the nomination for the monthly award from our technical panel.

Before you start voting for your winner, we look at how the trio fared in April.

Ephraim Kondowe

What a return the striker is recording. It’s three goals and an assist for him already and we are just past week five of the new campaign.  After ending last season on a high, Kondowe is keeping his fire blazing. Quite an ice-cold predator he has become in the box.

With a Chicharito-like cleverness, he smuggled a goal against Dedza in our league opener. He missed the Tigers tie but was soon back on the scoresheet, scoring a beauty away at Chitipa and a spectacular against Baka City at the Kamuzu Stadium.  In April, Kondowe scored in all his appearances as he made four goal contributions in three games.

Collin Mujuru

Just when he is breaking into the team, the Zimbabwean big centre-back demands no time to settle. Since being handed a debut in our season’s opener, Mujuru has already proved that he can be ‘Mr. Reliable’ as he has demonstrated solid performances week-in-week-out.

From his four appearances in April, Mujuru managed to have two TNM Super League Player of the Match awards to his name. With such stats from the newcomer, the defender’s name on the nomination list is by no mistake.

Patrick Maungulu

Winner of multiple awards last season, Mwaungulu is showing no sign of slowing down as he looks to continue with his fine form in this brand-new season.

Our number 11, registered his first goal involvement when we played out a 1-1 draw away at Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos. He missed the Mighty Tigers match through illness before returning to the team to grab an assist and a goal in our 0-3 victory away to Chitipa United in Karonga.

Given his splendid performances in the three matches he played in April, Mwaungulu deserves the nomination which comes to him soon after being voted as the 2023 FDH Bank Cup Player of the Tournament.
