FCB Nyasa Big Bullets can confirm that we have reached an agreement with Sudanese side Al-Merrikh Sporting Club for the transfer of Chikumbutso Salima.
The 24-year-old joined our reserves in 2022 from the Lawrence Waya Academy and had a breakout season, earning the Reserves’ Players’ Player of the Season award and finishing as top scorer in the FDH Bank Cup.
In 2023, he was loaned to Bangwe All Stars, where he earned multiple individual accolades and helped the team finish in the top eight of the TNM Super League.
In 2024, Salima was promoted to the first team. Over two seasons with the senior side, he made a total of 69 appearances, scoring 29 goals and providing 31 assists across all competitions.
In the 2025 season alone, he featured in 28 league matches, scoring 15 goals and providing 13 assists, earning the Golden Boot award alongside Babatunde Adepoju. He also made four appearances in the Airtel Top 8, scoring once, and two appearances in the FDH Bank Cup.
We thank Chikumbutso for his incredible contributions to Bullets and wish him continued success at Al-Merrikh SC.
