Transfer News: Aaron Chilipa rejoins Bullets on loan

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets are delighted to announce the return of Aaron Chilipa, who rejoins The People’s Team on loan from Creck Sporting Club until the end of the 2025 season, with an option to buy.

The 25-year-old left-back first joined Bullets in 2022 when he signed for our Reserves team from Ndirande All Stars. He featured regularly before leaving in 2023 to join now-relegated Bangwe All Stars, where he played in the final round of that Super League campaign.

In March 2024, Chilipa moved to Creck Sporting Club, where he became a mainstay in the side and went on to make 45 appearances in all competitions for the Lilongwe-based outfit.

His arrival boosts Bullets’ depth on the left flank following a long-term injury to Chrispin Mapemba. Until now, head coach Peter Mponda has rotated between Henry Chiwaya and Zambian defender Dominic Musonda — both of whom joined the club ahead of the current season.

Chilipa becomes the second mid-season addition for the TNM Super League leaders in the ongoing domestic transfer window, following the arrival of right-back Khumbo Banda from Dedza Dynamos — as the club continues to strengthen during the second round of the 2025 campaign, which is already underway with two matches played. The transfer window officially closes tonight.

Chilipa: “This is where the dream started — and I’m back to finish it”

“It feels great to be back home. This is where the dream started — wearing the Bullets Reserves jersey and hoping one day I’d step up to the first team,” Chilipa said.

“I’ve grown a lot since leaving. Playing for Bangwe and Creck gave me the platform to develop, to test myself, and to stay hungry. I’m grateful for those chapters.

But coming back to Bullets means everything. It’s not just another move — it’s a return to where it all began, and now I’m here to fight for my place, give my all, and help this great club push forward. I know what this jersey means, and I’ll wear it with pride.”

Mponda: “He adds competition on the left”

Reacting to the new addition, head coach Peter Mponda said Chilipa brings timely competition and familiarity to a key area of the pitch.

“Aaron is a player we know well from his time in our system. He’s matured, he’s been playing regularly elsewhere, and now he returns at a time we need to strengthen that left-back position,” Mponda explained.

“Following Mapemba’s injury, we’ve had Henry [Chiwaya] and Dominic [Musonda] competing in that role — both of whom joined us before the season. Aaron now adds more depth and competition, and that’s exactly what we want at this stage of the campaign.”
