FCB Nyasa Big Bullets are delighted to announce the four nominees for the men’s September HTD Player of the Month award.
The People’s Team played only two matches during the month, both ending in emphatic 3-0 victories—first against The Boys SFC in the FDH Bank Cup Round of 16 and then versus Dedza Dynamos in the TNM Super League.
Despite a reduced fixture list due to the FIFA Men’s International break and the suspension of local football during the September 16 General Elections, several players stood out with outstanding performances.
Here are the nominees:
Chikumbutso Salima
The wing attacker was electric throughout September.
He found the back of the net against The Boys in the FDH Bank Cup, before scoring and assisting in the 3-0 league victory over Dedza Dynamos. Salima was also involved in the third goal against Dedza, with his effort deflecting in to seal the win.
Named Man of the Match in the Dedza game, Salima has now earned his sixth nomination this season. He previously won the award in May and July.
Paul Master
Master pulled the strings in midfield across both matches.
His work rate, forward-minded play, and link-ups with Wongani Lungu, Mike Mkwate, and Yankho Singo gave Bullets total control in the middle of the park.
Signed from Blue Eagles earlier this year, the 24-year-old is proving to be a valuable addition to the squad. This is his second consecutive nomination for the HTD monthly award.
Blessings Mpokera
Mpokera continued to impress at the back, combining defensive solidity with attacking contribution.
The versatile defender opened the scoring against The Boys in the FDH Bank Cup Round of 16 and marshalled the backline with authority as Bullets kept back-to-back clean sheets.
Winner of the June award, the Bullets Reserves graduate has now received four nominations for the accolade this campaign.
Innocent Nyasulu
Nyasulu enjoyed a faultless September, keeping two clean sheets in two matches. His command of the box and ability to deal with aerial threats has been crucial in ensuring defensive stability.
This is his third consecutive nomination this season, underlining his consistency between the posts.
