The 2022 TNM Super League second round resumes this weekend following a two-week break, with Nyasa Big Bullets returning to Kamuzu Stadium for their opening fixture against Kamuzu Barracks.

Super League of Malawi (Sulom) on Sunday released the opening fixtures of the final round of this campaign.

The People’s Team, unbeaten in the ongoing season in all competitions, will be hoping to continue from where they stopped.

Kalisto Pasuwa’s side is topping the standings with 41 points, eleven points clear of the second-placed Blue Eagles, who will open their second-round account with an away match against Karonga United.

After hosting KB, Bullets will travel to Rumphi where they will play two games against Rumphi United and Ekwendeni Hammers on 31 July and 2 August, respectively.

Bullets will then return to Kamuzu Stadium where they will be hosted by Mighty Mukuru Wanderers in the Blantyre derby set for 7 August 2022.

Pasuwa’s men will then host TN Stars on 13 August at the country’s Soccer Mecca before welcoming Red Lions a week later.

The 15-time Super League winners recorded 13 wins and two draws in the opening round of this season, scoring 29 goals and conceding only six, beating Mighty Wanderers’ 2017 record of 36 points, which was the highest recorded points in the first round of the elite league.

This was also the first time for Bullets in more than six years to finish top of the league heading into the second round and on both occasions, The People’s Team went on to win the championship.
