The 2025 TNM Super League season wrapped up in December with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets finishing strong to secure second place, thanks to several standout performances in the final month.

Even as the season drew to a close, some players shone brightest, helping the team finish on a high. Following their exceptional displays, Babatunde Adepoju, Chikumbutso Salima, Wongani Lungu, and Khumbo Banda have been nominated for December Men’s HTD Player of the Month.

Here’s a closer look at their performances:

Babatunde Adepoju

A joint top scorer in the league with 15 goals, the forward ended December with two goals and an assist. Against Karonga United, he set up Wongani Lungu to open the scoring.

Babatunde capped the month with a brace in the 4-0 win over Mzuzu City Hammers in the final league fixture of the season, marking his last appearance in Bullets colours before returning to South African Venda Football Club at the end of his loan on 31 December.

He made four appearances in December, missing the Mighty Tigers game due to suspension.

Chikumbutso Salima

Salima, November Men’s HTD Player of the Month, continued his fine form and is nominated again for December, reflecting his consistent impact for The People’s Team.

Finishing as a joint top scorer in the league with 15 goals, he starred in the final league fixture of the season, scoring a brace in the 4-0 win over Mzuzu City Hammers and providing an assist to Babatunde.

The enterprising winger wrapped up the season with 26 goal involvements, highlighting his consistency and influence throughout the Super League campaign.

Wongani Lungu

The midfielder enjoyed a remarkable run in December, scoring against Karonga United in a 2-0 win and providing two assists in victories over Ekhaya FC (2-0) and Mzuzu City Hammers (4-0). He appeared in all five games in the month, underscoring his consistency and influence across the team.
