Bullets Women draw Chilomoni in Mayor’s Bonanza

Our women’s side will begin their campaign in the inaugural Southern Region Women’s Football Association (SRWFA) Mayor’s Bonanza against Chilomoni Ladies on Sunday.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women will take on Chilomoni Ladies on Sunday, 23 August, in Match 3 of the inaugural eight-team Mayor’s Bonanza.

The fixture was confirmed in Wednesday’s draw, which set the four opening-round ties.

The Mayor’s Bonanza is being staged for the first time, bringing together eight teams from across the Southern Region in a knockout competition played over two weekends.

The competition also provides valuable competitive action for Bullets Women and the other National League sides from the Southern Region as they await the delayed start of the 2026/27 NBM Women’s Premiership.

The second edition of the national championship was initially scheduled to kick off on 30 May but remains delayed, with the inaugural campaign having concluded on 25 January.

The eight participating teams were divided into two pots, with National League sides in Pot A and regional and non-league teams in Pot B.

Bullets Women were joined in Pot A by Mighty Wanderers Queens and Kukoma Ntopwa, while Ekhaya completed the group as the second-placed SRWFA side following the absence of Chitoliro Heroines.

Chilomoni Ladies, KASO Lioness, Emmanuel Bullets and Bangwe All Stars made up Pot B.
