Bullets complete the transfer of Mfune

Nyasa Big Bullets FC is delighted to announce the signing of Anthony Mfune.

The attacker/midfielder has completed his move from Karonga United after signing a three-year contract that will keep him at Bullets until 2024.

The 23-year-old scored six goals for Karonga in the current campaign, earning his first Malawi national team call up, before he was released after testing positive for Covid-19 as the team was preparing for the recent COSAFA Cup.

Mfune said after signing:

“I am very delighted to join Bullets and I am here to take my game to another level. I am looking forward to playing for my new club.”

He added: “I am very grateful to Karonga United for giving me the opportunity to play for the club and for opening this opportunity for me to move to Bullets.”

The two teams reached an agreement on Thursday for the transfer of the player, who will be part of Kalisto Pasuwa’s CAF Champions League campaign slated to kick off in September.

Mfune becomes Bullets’ fifth signing this season, following the arrival of Paul Kansungwi, Alick Lungu, Erick Kaonga and Babatunde Adepoju.
