FCB Nyasa Big Bullets head coach Kalisto Pasuwa has provided an update on his squad ahead of Sunday’s CAF Champions League tie against TP Mazembe.

The People’s Team will host the Democratic Republic of Congo champions at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe for the second preliminary round first leg.

Bullets will strive to register a win at home before flying to Lubumbashi for the second leg as Kalisto Pasuwa’s men are eyeing a place in the group stages.

Ahead of Sunday’s tie, Pasuwa has received a massive boost by welcoming back Precious Sambani, Patrick Mwaungulu and Hassan Kajoke from injuries.

The head coach also has provided an update on the players who are not available to face Mazembe due to injuries.

“We have Mike Mkwate, Alick Lungu and Stanley Billiat who are still out. We welcomed back Kajoke, Sambani and Mwaungulu, but we have lost Maxwell Phodo, Blessings Mpokera and Peter Banda due to injuries.

“Both Banda and Mpokera sustained their injuries whilst on international duty. Banda has a thigh and a shoulder injury and will require some time to completely recover while Mpokera returned from the national team with a swollen ankle. Phodo has a groin injury. So, these guys are completely out of this match,” Pasuwa told journalists during the pre-match press conference on Saturday.

Kajoke will be looking to make his first CAF Champions League appearance this campaign having missed the first preliminary round against Dragon FC due to an injury he suffered when we played Mafco FC in the TNM Super League.

As for Sambani, he played the first 45 minutes in Equatorial Guinea before being subbed off and missed the second leg as he suffered a groin injury.
