FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Youth will play the final of the African Herbal Mixture Under-19 Cup against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Youth at Kamuzu Stadium on 30 April.
The Blantyre District Youth Football Committee announced the final details after our youth side saw off Soche Madrid with a 4-1 victory in a semi-final tie at the same venue on Sunday.
Matamando Mwachipitsa, Hellings Mhango, Kondwani Tabula and Alex Chikoko were all on target for the Autley Kalulu side.
“We are anticipating an entertaining showdown and we are very confident that spectators will enjoy every minute of the action,” commented the BDYFC Chairperson Bitto Kayesera while confirming the details.
On their way to the final, our youth side started with a goalless draw against Namiwawa FC at Mpira Stadium in the group stages.
Then they recorded a hard-fought 3-2 victory over CC Stars at Chilomoni Stadium before a 3-0 smashing of Bible Stars at Mpira Stadium to eventually make it into the quarterfinals.
Against a side that we lost to in the final of Manchester Motors Mechanical Center Under-20 Cup last season, Ndirande Stars, our youth side narrowly emerged 1-0 winners to advance to the last four.
To reach the African Herbal Mixture Under-19 Cup final, the Nomads unior side, coached by former Wanderers captain Joseph Kamwendo, eliminated Namiwawa FC through post-match penalties following a 1-1 draw in regulation time at the weekend.
