Bullets confirm CECAFA Kagame Cup participation

Nyasa Big Bullets will participate in the CECAFA Kagame Cup 2021 to be held in Tanzania next month.

The tournament, managed by the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA), will take place in Dar es Salaam from August 1-15 and the TNM Super League defending champions were invited as guests.

“We have confirmed our participation and we are going as guests,” Bullets chief executive officer, Suzgo Nyirenda, told Club media on Friday.

He further stated that the tournament, which attracts top clubs from East and Central African nations, will help The People’s Team prepare for the CAF Champions League, which starts in September.

According to CECAFA, the draw for the competition will be conducted on July 27th.

Teams confirmed for Kagame Cup 2021 are Young Africans SC, Azam FC (Tanzania), Altabara FC (South Sudan), Le Messager Ngozi FC (Burundi), APR (Rwanda), Express FC, KCCA FC (Uganda), Tusker FC (Kenya), KMKM SC (Zanzibar), Nyasa Big Bullets FC (Malawi).
