FCB Nyasa Big Bullets players are highly motivated with the coming in of Paramount Concrete Products as the official sponsor for the first team’s Player of the Match award.
Midfielder Ernest Petro was the first winner of the award following his performance in our home match against Mighty Waka Waka Tigers last month.
Vice-captain Gomzgani Chirwa has won the accolade twice as the best performer against Chitipa United and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, and Zimbabwean defender Collin Mujuru was voted Player of the Match against Baka City.
On Wednesday, the two defenders were presented with their prizes. They told club media that Bullets players have all the reasons to fight for the badge and the individual accolades.
“First of all, I am very grateful for winning this accolade twice. Very grateful to Paramount Concrete Products for coming with this prize. As players, we always look forward to getting rewarded for our hard work and we all have all the reasons to fight for the badge because we know that one of us, will be rewarded,” said Chirwa.
On his part, Mujuru said it feels good to win the award, adding that the initiative will push them further to perform better as the players will be giving it all to be part of the best performers.
“It’s not my award only, but it’s the work of the whole team where each one of us is determined to perform better so that we are selected and that’s what will be happening amongst ourselves because we will be working extra hard to be among the best at the end of every match that we play. It’s a good initiative and we are all looking forward to achieving success as a team and as individuals,” said the centre-back.
