Club Statement: Bullets squad update

Share

Nyasa Big Bullets FC provides the following updates on the contract situations of some of the first team squad members.

As previously announced, Misheck Seleman and Chimwemwe Idana, whose contracts with the club end on 16 March 2023 and 21 February 2023, respectively, could not renew their deals and have left The People’s Team.

We are pleased to announce that midfielders Ernest Petro, McFallen Mgwira and Righteous Banda have agreed to extend their contracts. Petro has signed a new three-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2026, while Mgwira remains at the club until 2024 after agreeing to a one-year contract extension and Banda is tied to Bullets for another two years, with his new deal ending in 2025.

Bullets can also confirm that Isaac Badu has left the club after his two-year contract was terminated by mutual agreement. The Ghanaian centre-back joined The People’s Team at the start of the 2022 season and played two competitive games; against Kamuzu Barracks and Civil Service United in the TNM Super League.

The club has transfer-listed Hadji Wali with immediate effect. The defender has been advised to look for a club of his choice on the agreement that Bullets and the new club will discuss the player’s transfer. Wali joined Bullets in February 2022.

We further announce that Mphatso Magaleta will be released on loan during the 2023/24 football season. The club will determine the loan transfer arrangements of the player. The midfielder arrived at The People’s Team in February 2022.

We expect defender White Kitsen to rejoin the club following the completion of his one-year loan spell at Sable Farming FC.

Any new developments regarding any additions or players leaving the club before the closure of the local transfer window will be officially communicated.
