FCB Nyasa Big Bullets is delighted to announce the signing of Daniel White Jnr and Yankho Phiri, both 18 years old, on four-year deals.
The promising pair become our latest recruits to join the reserves as the team steps up its preparations for the upcoming Premier Division ThumbsUp Southern Region Football League kicking off this Sunday.
White Jnr joins to strengthen the defense after four years with Manchester Motor Spares FC. He views signing for the People’s Team as the ideal launchpad for aspiring young talents.
“Every young player hopes to wear the Bullets’ jersey. This club offers invaluable opportunities for success in football. I’ve seen many players reach the top thanks to their start here, and I’m excited to take my first steps with the club. Now that my dream has been fulfilled, I’m ready to push myself further, earn a regular place, and eventually join the first team. This is the beginning of many great things,” he told club media.
A defensive midfielder, Phiri makes the move from Chemusa Stars after four seasons competing in the Mmera Mpoyamba League.
Said Phiri: “Joining Bullets means everything to me. It’s a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to represent this club, and now that it’s a reality, I’m driven to work hard and make an impact. This is a rare opportunity, and I intend to give it my all.”
Welcoming the duo, our reserves head coach Heston Munthali said: “I’m very pleased with the progress we’re making as we build our squad. I’m certain these new additions will bring significant strength to our club and eventually contribute to the senior team. They possess the qualities needed for success, and I look forward to working with them.”
Meanwhile, Munthali has also promoted several players from our Under 19 team to the reserves, underscoring his dedication to developing emerging talent.
“We’re committed to giving our Under 19s a pathway because our youth system plays a crucial role in our future. That’s why we’ve incorporated several talented youngsters into the reserves. They are already familiar with our style of play, which eases their transition. It’s a dynamic mix of young talent, and I’m confident this approach will yield great results soon.”
