Tickets on sale as Bullets set for another Airtel Top 8 final

The countdown is officially on as FCB Nyasa Big Bullets are heading back to Bingu National Stadium for yet another shot at glory — and fans can now secure their spot in the stands, with tickets for the 2025 Airtel Top 8 Final against Silver Strikers already on sale.

The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) opened ticket sales last week and encouraged supporters to buy early, with no tickets to be sold at the stadium on match day.

“We have put the tickets on the market at least 10 days before the match to ensure fans have enough time to get their tickets,” said FAM Competitions and Communications Director, Gomezgani Zakazaka. “We would like to stress that we will stop selling tickets on Saturday night, and there will be no sale of tickets on match day.”

FAM is offering both physical and online ticket options to give fans the flexibility to plan ahead, avoid queues, and enjoy a smooth entry experience.

Standard tickets for the final are priced at K5,000, while VIP tickets are going at K20,000. For fans or organisations looking for a premium experience, Corporate Box tickets are available at K30,000. A Car Pass is also required for vehicle entry into the stadium and is pegged at K500.

Supporters can purchase their tickets at several physical outlets across Lilongwe, including Area 18 Puma Filling Station, Area 25 M’bayani Shop near Chipiku, Kanengo PUMA, Kafoteka Filling Station, Kawale Filling Station, Likuni Energem, Acres Gateway Mall, Maula PUMA, and Bingu National Stadium itself.

For added convenience, fans can also buy tickets digitally. Online sales are available through kwenda.co/events/fam, while WhatsApp purchases can be made by messaging 088 678 5067. Alternatively, mobile users can dial *495# to secure tickets directly via USSD.

Fifth Final in a Row. Fourth Title in Sight

For The People’s Team, this is more than just another cup final — it’s a chance to make history.

Bullets booked their place in the final with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Karonga United in the semi-finals, courtesy of goals from Chikumbutso Salima and Hassan Kajoke. That victory set up a classic Blantyre vs Lilongwe showdown as we prepare to face Silver Strikers once again.

This will be our sixth Airtel Top 8 Final and fifth in a row — a run that highlights the consistency and hunger that defines this squad. Having lifted the trophy in 2021, 2023, and 2024, the mission is clear: bring it home again.

All Eyes on Safety and Matchday Experience

With excitement building, FAM has also placed emphasis on safety, security, and fan convenience. The final will be the first major domestic event following Malawi’s CAF safety and security workshop, and FAM says the lessons from that event are already being put into action.

“We’re putting into practice what we’ve learnt to ensure safety for everyone involved,” Zakazaka said. “Only small bags will be allowed into the stadium, and prohibited items include fireworks, glass bottles, and sharp objects.”

To ease congestion and build the festive atmosphere, gates will open at 9:00 a.m. FAM and sponsors Airtel Malawi Plc have lined up pre-match entertainment and activities, which will be announced in the coming days.

“We are also engaging the Police and Lilongwe City Council to ensure smooth traffic flow around the stadium,” Zakazaka added.

Maule, Let’s Paint BNS Red!

With another trophy on the line, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets is calling on the Maule faithful across the country to travel in numbers, wear their red, and make their voices heard in Lilongwe.

This is more than a final — it’s a moment to show what The People’s Team is all about.
